About the Role

The CTO/Founding Engineer will lead the technical team, ensuring rapid convergence of engineering backlogs and continuous improvement of our platform's velocity. You will be pivotal in solving complex technical problems, making critical decisions on system scalability, and maintaining high standards of code quality and system design. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the engineering team to deliver high-quality software solutions
• Model and manage shifting business, system, and data requirements
• Troubleshoot complex systems and code, ensuring high performance and reliability
• Evaluate trade-offs of various data modeling strategies and system designs
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering practices and team velocity

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Engineering Leader in a startup environment
• Mastery in troubleshooting and optimizing complex systems and code
• Diverse programming experience in multiple problem domains, including SaaS, video, scientific, security, and HPC
• Strong understanding of high and low-level design patterns and their impact on team and system scalability
• Expertise in concurrency, parallelism, and networking
• Ability to make informed decisions about data modeling strategies, programming languages, and system architectures
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Passion for continuous improvement and lifelong learning in software engineering
