I'm working with a fast-growing cloud security start-up that's recently raised a $20m Series A and doubled ARR in the last quarter.

They're building sophisticated security technology using decoy cloud infrastructure to detect intrusions, and are looking for an exceptional Senior Founding Engineer to take significant ownership of the product, architecture and technical direction as they scale.

The existing engineering team is exceptionally strong, with backgrounds including Oxford and Cambridge, and they're looking for someone who can operate at a similarly high technical level.

What we're looking for:

• 6–7+ years of software engineering experience, ideally within technically demanding, high-performance engineering environments
• Exceptional backend engineering fundamentals, with a strong understanding of system design, scalability and reliability
• A proven track record of designing, building and owning complex production systems
• Strong experience with AWS, Azure or GCP, ideally involving cloud infrastructure or distributed systems
• The technical depth and judgement to make architectural decisions independently and challenge existing approaches
• A highly capable, product-minded engineer who can move between deep technical problems and broader product considerations
• Someone who thrives in environments with high expectations, significant ownership and little hand-holding

We're particularly interested in engineers who have demonstrated technical excellence, intellectual curiosity and the ability to operate as a senior individual contributor within exceptional engineering teams.
