AI Product Engineer

We're working with an ambitious AI startup building a new generation of intelligent software that changes how engineers interact with complex technical systems.

They're looking for an exceptional AI Product Engineer who can turn cutting-edge AI capabilities into intuitive, reliable products. This is a high-ownership role for someone who thrives on ambiguity, builds quickly, and loves shipping things people actually use.

What You'll Do

  • Build and ship AI-native products using LLMs, VLMs, and agentic workflows.
  • Design intelligent agents that reason, use tools, and interact with real-world systems.
  • Own features end-to-end, from React/TypeScript interfaces to Python backends and model integrations.
  • Solve challenging problems around structured generation, model reliability, evaluation, and orchestration.
  • Work directly with customers to understand problems, prototype solutions, and iterate rapidly.
  • Shape how users interact with AI in complex engineering environments.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience building and shipping full-stack products.
  • Hands-on experience developing LLM-powered applications beyond basic API wrappers.
  • Understanding of agent architectures, tool calling, RAG, structured outputs, and model evaluation.
  • Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and React.
  • Ability to turn ambiguous requirements into working products with minimal direction.
  • Strong product instincts, technical curiosity, and a bias toward shipping.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with multimodal AI, VLMs, fine-tuning, or human-in-the-loop systems.
  • Background in engineering software, CAD, geometry, or other technically complex products.
  • Experience as a founding engineer or early technical hire at a fast-moving startup.

Why Join?

  • Build at the intersection of frontier AI and real-world engineering.
  • Own meaningful product decisions from day one.
  • Work on challenging, unsolved problems with a highly technical team.
  • Move fast, experiment freely, and see your work reach customers.

Working model: Hybrid — 3 days in-office, 2 days remote.
