We're partnering with a high-growth AI infrastructure company helping enterprises deploy, operationalise, and scale AI systems in production.

They're looking for a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to work at the intersection of customers, product, and engineering - building AI-powered solutions that solve real-world business problems. This is a highly technical, customer-facing role where you'll own deployments end-to-end, from discovery and solution design through implementation and production rollout.

What You'll Do

• Partner directly with customers to understand business objectives, workflows, and technical challenges.
• Design, build, and deploy AI-powered applications tailored to customer needs.
• Develop production-grade software across backend services, APIs, integrations, and data systems.
• Build and optimise AI workflows, agentic systems, and LLM-powered applications.
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing customer infrastructure and business processes.
• Work across cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, model serving, and application layers.
• Translate ambiguous customer requirements into scalable, robust technical solutions.
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and customer success teams to drive successful deployments.
• Leverage AI-native development tools and automation to accelerate delivery and iteration.
• Shape product direction through customer feedback, implementation learnings, and field insights.

What We're Looking For

• 1-3 years of software engineering experience, or equivalent startup, founder, or project experience.
• Strong engineering fundamentals with experience building and shipping production software.
• Hands-on experience with modern AI technologies, including LLMs, agents, RAG systems, or AI application development.
• Ability to quickly understand complex business problems and develop practical technical solutions.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills and a passion for working directly with end users.
• High ownership mentality with the ability to operate effectively in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
• Experience working across multiple parts of the stack, from infrastructure and backend systems to AI applications.
• Curious about AI infrastructure, model deployment, and emerging AI technologies.
• Experience incorporating AI-assisted development tools into your workflow.
