Data Scientist
The Opportunity
This team builds custom AI systems for defence and national security, tackling high-stakes problems like predictive maintenance, logistics optimisation, and readiness modelling across personnel, equipment, and supply chains.
This is data science for people who want depth, complexity, and real-world impact — not BI dashboards or packaged analytics.
What You’ll Do
- Design and build ML models for operational and time-series data
- Tackle predictive maintenance and readiness problems with real-world constraints
- Partner with MLEs to productionise models
- Reason clearly about assumptions, trade-offs, and performance
- Work in classified environments where results matter
What They’re Looking For
- Strong foundations in ML, statistics, and data science
- Experience building models beyond plug-and-play tooling
- Time-series or predictive modelling experience
- Able to explain why models work, not just how to run them
- ~3+ years’ experience preferred (open across levels)
Location, Clearance & Process
- DC area, mostly remote with some onsite requirements
- Must be eligible for secure/classified work
