⚡ Data Scientist – Applied Machine Learning in Production

📍 Nottingham (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)

I’m supporting a rapidly growing AI company spun out of leading academic research, now delivering high-impact ML solutions for major UK brands. They’re looking for a sharp, technically strong Data Scientist with both an excellent academic foundation and hands-on experience deploying ML models in the real world.

The Role

You’ll work end-to-end on applied ML problems - from exploration and modelling through to production deployment and post-launch performance analysis. If you want to build models that actually ship and shape real user outcomes, this role is built for you.

What You’ll Do

• Analyse and model large-scale behavioural and time-series datasets
• Build, validate, and deploy machine learning models for forecasting and prediction
• Develop and maintain scalable data workflows with engineering and product teams
• Communicate insights clearly and influence decisions across the business

What They’re Looking For

• Strong academic background in a quantitative field (Master’s or PhD advantageous)
• Real production experience deploying machine learning models
• Excellent SQL skills and strong Python capability
• Confidence working across the full ML lifecycle, from exploration to monitoring in production
• Ability to translate complex technical work into actionable outcomes
