Java Recruitment Consultant
Kirsty joined the world of Java and Understanding Recruitment under the management of Charlotte Young fresh out of university; after graduating in the summer of 2022 with a degree in Spanish from the University of Leeds and working several part-time jobs in industries including retail. It was actually the first time she had considered recruitment as a career, but as soon as she spoke to a member of our internal team it appealed to her.
Her favourite thing about her role is learning and working with her manager and all the personal relationships she is developing with candidates and clients, as a huge people person! Prior to joining the recruitment industry, Kirsty became an LTA qualified Level 1 tennis coach, and she coached tennis.
A fun fact about Kirsty is that she has coached with Andy Murray and Judy Murray (and of course made sure to get a picture with them too!).
Kirsty has been professional, upbeat and thoughtful each time we have communicated. In my initial call with her, she asked insightful questions to understand my situation and skillset. Soon after, she set up a call between me and a company's CTO, which went very well. However, the company made an offer before I could finish the interview process. At this point, most recruiters would either cease communications or stop trying. Still, Kirsty gave me the interviewer's feedback and attempted to set me up with another company that matched my profile. Kirsty always kept me in the loop which was much appreciated, and I'd recommend her to others in a heartbeat.
I had a fantastic experience working with Kirsty and would recommend her to anyone looking for a Java Developer position. She’s very professional, organised, and made the usually stressful job hunting experience feel quite straightforward. Thank you for your help!
Kirsty has been very professional and friendly. Her attention to detail is outstanding. She would go above and beyond in finding me a role and in keeping me up to date with every single step of the way. Kirsty would always ask for feedback from a company and call in to remind me of an interview on the day. The most professional Talent Researcher I had pleasure to be dealing with. I would strongly recommend her to any developers looking for a new position.
