Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented Computational Biologist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computational biology, bioinformatics, or a related field, and a passion for utilizing AI and machine learning to solve complex biological problems. You will play a crucial role in our drug discovery processes, contributing to the analysis of biological data and the development of predictive models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including biologists, chemists, and data scientists, to support drug discovery projects.
- Develop and apply computational models to analyze large-scale biological datasets, including genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic data.
- Design and implement algorithms for target identification, lead optimization, and compound screening.
- Utilize machine learning techniques to predict drug interactions, efficacy, and safety profiles.
- Interpret and present results to stakeholders, providing insights that guide experimental design and decision-making.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in computational biology and AI, applying best practices to enhance our drug discovery efforts.
- Contribute to the preparation of scientific publications and presentations.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Systems Biology, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Julia; experience with machine learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a plus.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Pandas, Matplotlib, seaborn).
- Experience with biological databases and tools (e.g., BLAST, UniProt, KEGG) and familiarity with molecular modeling software.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong analytical mindset.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audienceS.
