We are looking for Staff/Principal Engineers to become part of our client in London, a prominent SaaS platform specialising in consumer research. Your responsibilities will encompass shaping the backend strategy, enhancing engineering productivity, and providing guidance to fellow engineers. You will play a pivotal role in fortifying the backend engineering initiatives, from strategic decisions to their execution.

The Technology Stack:

While our client doesn't require you to be an expert in any specific technology, they value candidates who are familiar with a range of comparable technologies and can quickly adapt. Some of the technologies our client uses include Java, Go, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, and AWS.

Your Focus Will Be To:

* Actively participate in crafting and executing the backend strategy.

* Collaborate with the technology leadership to refine backend software delivery processes.

* Join planning sessions with the product and engineering teams

* Analyse tooling, CI, processes, and patterns to boost engineering efficiency.

* Provide guidance and mentorship to fellow engineers on their career paths.

* Work alongside specialised engineering squads to develop key platform features.

* Take the lead in defining both public and private APIs for our client.

* Experience working with large-scale Distributed Systems is required
