Director of Hardware Engineering (HW/SW codesign & modeling)

Understanding Recruitment is seeking a Director of Hardware Engineering (HW/SW codesign & modelling) to join a a Stanford/MIT spinout that combines photonics devices with hardware acceleration to create faster and more efficient processing chips for Artificial Intelligence. We founded our mission in 2018 and are looking for a Director of HW/SW Co-Design to join our growing team after our historic Silicon Valley Series A fundraise.

As a Director of Hardware Engineering(HW/SW codesign & modeling) you will recruit and lead a small team of Modeling Engineers that will work across different teams to develop a system capable of ingesting state of the art Deep Learning workloads. As Director of Hardware Engineering(HW/SW codesign & modeling), you will be tasked with building a modeling infrastructure and guide architectural decisions and tradeoffs within the performance & power of our multi-core system.
