Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis: Develop and apply computational algorithms and models to analyze complex biological datasets, extracting meaningful insights to drive research and development.
- Algorithm Development: Design and implement novel computational methods and tools to address specific challenges in biotech projects, such as drug discovery, genomics, or personalized medicine.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams of biologists, bioinformaticians, and data scientists to integrate computational approaches into research projects and leverage collective expertise.
- Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in computational biology and biotechnology, identifying opportunities to innovate and optimize workflows.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in applying computational methods to biological data analysis, preferably in a biotech or life sciences environment.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in computational biology, such as Python, R, or MATLAB, as well as experience with bioinformatics tools and databases.
- Biological Understanding: A solid understanding of biological principles and processes, coupled with the ability to translate biological questions into computational approaches.
Requirements:
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and present findings in scientific forums.
